A small tool for getting from saved media to useful words.

Reel to Words is an independent website published under the Reel to Words name. We make a file-based Instagram transcript generator: choose an audio file or a saved video you have permission to process, then turn its speech into an editable first draft.

Built around your device

The transcription tool runs Whisper tiny through Transformers.js in your browser. Its model and runtime files are served by this website. Your selected media is decoded and transcribed on your device, without an account or a server-side transcription service.

A draft you can take away

Review the transcript, copy it, or download TXT, Markdown, SRT or VTT. Speech recognition can make mistakes. Check names, important details and subtitle timing before sharing the result.

Independent of Instagram

Reel to Words is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instagram or Meta. It does not retrieve Instagram links. You supply a saved audio or video file.
